Surf HQ Shipping & Delivery Policy

At The Surf HQ, we aim to get your order to you as quickly and safely as possible. This policy outlines our shipping, delivery and collection procedures for online orders within South Africa.

1. Order Processing & Dispatch

• We process and package online orders 7 days a week.
• Orders placed during business hours will be processed and packaged as soon as possible, subject to stock availability and payment confirmation.
• Orders placed outside business hours will be processed during our next operating period.
• Although we process orders 7 days a week, courier collections from our premises take place Monday to Friday only, excluding public holidays.
• Orders packaged over weekends or public holidays will be collected by the courier on the next available collection day.
• You will receive a confirmation email or notification once your order has been processed and prepared for dispatch.

2. Delivery Options

The Surf HQ offers nationwide delivery across South Africa through trusted courier partners.

Standard Delivery:

• Estimated delivery time: 2–5 business days from courier collection.
• Outlying or rural areas may require additional transit time.

Express Delivery (where available):

• Selected areas may qualify for 1–2 business day delivery.
• Additional charges may apply depending on distance and parcel weight.

Please note that delivery timeframes begin once the courier has collected your parcel, not when your order is placed.

3. Click & Collect (Durban Only)

If you're based in Durban or nearby, you can select free local collection.

• Free collection is available at The Surf HQ.
• Once your order is ready, you'll receive an SMS or WhatsApp notification confirming that it is ready for collection.
• Please bring your order confirmation when collecting.

4. Shipping Fees

• Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, parcel size, weight and applicable courier rates.
• Delivery fees may vary depending on the size, weight and destination of your order.
• Free shipping may apply during promotional offers or on qualifying orders.
• All applicable delivery fees will be displayed before completing your purchase.

5. Tracking Your Order

• Once your parcel has been collected and scanned by the courier, you'll receive tracking details via email or SMS.
• You can monitor your parcel directly through the courier's tracking website.
• Please allow up to 24 hours after courier collection for tracking information to become available.

6. Delivery Delays

We work closely with our courier partners to ensure timely delivery. However, delivery times may be affected by circumstances beyond our control, including:

• Adverse weather conditions.
• Courier network delays.
• Incorrect or incomplete delivery addresses.
• Peak-season shipping volumes.

While The Surf HQ cannot be held responsible for courier delays beyond our control, we'll always do our best to assist in resolving any issues.

7. Failed Deliveries & Re-delivery

If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful due to an incorrect address or the recipient being unavailable:

• The courier will typically attempt delivery again on the next available business day.
• If the parcel is returned to The Surf HQ, additional shipping fees may apply for re-dispatch.

Please ensure that all delivery information provided at checkout is accurate and complete.

8. Damaged or Missing Parcels

If your order arrives damaged or contains missing items:

1. Take clear photographs of the parcel and any visible damage.
2. Contact us at info@surfhq.co.za within 48 hours of delivery.
3. Our team will investigate and liaise with the courier where necessary to resolve the matter.

9. International Shipping

At this stage, The Surf HQ primarily delivers within South Africa. If you're based outside South Africa and would like to place an order, please contact us directly. International shipping may be arranged on request.
